Join us as we host the Second Annual Pasadena Festival of Tea—an event that delights tea lovers and garden lovers alike. It provides a unique opportunity for the garden’s visitors to learn from experts about different types of tea from Asia and beyond.

Major local tea vendors will be present to share their knowledge of tea, including: Denong Tea, Tea Habitat, Hankook Tea, Teaful, Glenburn Tea, and People’s Potions.

Every visitor can participate in a Tea Sampling. Complimentary tasting cups will be given to every guest at check-in.

Visitors may also make reservations in advance to participate in a traditional Japanese tea ceremony demonstration with Mikko Nakatomi in the garden’s Niko-an teahouse. Tea ceremonies are at 1pm and again at 2pm for a maximum of 15 guests at each. Tea and Japanese sweets will be served.

During the afternoon, there will be presentations about tea, including: Classic Japanese Teas; Phoenix Dan Cong Oolong Tea; Darjeeling, Champagne of Teas; and an Introduction to Pu’erh Tea.
